I have a tattoo and I dont think it is wrong, by any means but I just want to get other peoples input on the issue.

Yes. Tattoos in those times were commonly used to signify political/religious affiliation. No they aren't. A tattoo doesn't necessarily have anything to do with criminality.and such, however, the current culture that tattoos seems to be the criminal element.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. Obviously, people shouldn't get gang tattoos. That's just common sense.
