If so, how and why is it different to followers of any other religion we believe to be false? Could it be because we believe Satan exists?
My instinct is to say that Satanists are evil, but I'm not sure that's actually consistent with my view, or it might even be hypocritical.
And if we do decide they're evil, what does that mean in practise? Avoid Media Produced by them even if their beliefs aren't the subject matter?
Just some musings of mine that I'd be interested to hear other people's opinion on.
Incorrect.Anyway, I was under the impression that Christianity says humans are all made in the image of God and therefore can't be evil. My understanding was always that we can do evil things, but we aren't evil beings.
In one sense it is no different. The bible is clear - those who serve alien "gods" are actually worshiping demons. Rev 9.20 clearly ties the two together.why is it different to followers of any other religion we believe to be false?
It was my understanding that none of us are "good" and therefor need a savior. Some of us commit evil acts but all of us are damned from git go. Not sure how someone embracing their evil nature would be any more evil than someone denying theirs. If they don't believe Satan exists, though, how would your belief make them evil?

Oh, right. But baptism undoes that, I thought?Incorrect.
We were (past tense) made in God's image - that is true. But due to the fall, that image became marred and we are now inherently evil.
Not baptism per se, but the regeneration from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.Oh, right. But baptism undoes that, I thought?
Every hero needs a villain to fight.Newbie question:
Whats the best biblical evidence for Satan being evil?
Okay, that's immensely reasonable as written.
What else? "Worshipping Satan" comes to mind.
Some people are able to think logically and can laugh when certain people react irrationally.

It looks like he is a fraud and colors blend got fooled by him:I have better things to do than sit and watch a full 95 minutes of this to find the bit you are talking about. Either tell em what time I should be watching from or summarize for me.
That's okay, I have faith that you'll find the time to watch the video.I have better things to do than sit and watch a full 95 minutes of this to find the bit you are talking about. Either tell em what time I should be watching from or summarize for me.
Perhaps, but not without alternative. Some might worship Satan thinking Satan has the winning side. Or, in the case of the ancient - perhaps extant - worshippers of Astarte, or whatever name one wishes for the ancient Middle Eastern fertility goddess, the worship function is preferable. (Ahem!)Gadarene said:Haha, I did consider that. Yes, I'm sure there are some Satanists who literally are devil-worshippers.
But isn't that still the same thing? Isn't that still an act designed to provoke God and the faithful?
