A "ghost" phased through my shins as a ball of light initially.
A "ghost" moved my parent's 500lbs sleigh bed several inches while sleep (you can see the carpet indentions; fitful sleep doesn't do that.)
A "ghost" appeared as a male apparition, staring my grandmother in her face at bed level, and my uncle came in and saw this same apparition after turning on the lights.
A "ghostly" present made even my cat fearful of going into a room, fighting my pushing over the threshold every time.
A "ghost" texted us when praying, calling my mom a female dog, only to find out the number never existed when we immediately called back.
A "ghost" scratched me while sleeping - in lucid dream - with the claw marks inverted (i.e. in no direction I could have scratched myself.)
And, there is so much more. Hollywood may sensationalize the spirit world, but that shouldn't suggest it is not real. I have been assaulted by these entities - ghosts, demons, whatever you want to call them. My family has traceable back many generations. They are deceptive, nefarious entities that work on deception...even if that deception is convincing people they do not exist.
Angels make themselves known; they do not go through hoops to mask their identity. And, often they appear as physical humans, not ethereal familiar spirits. This stuff sounds wacky until you experience it first hand. Then, you become the one crowned with a tin foil hat.
What is a ghostly present?
A demonic entity that doesn't even substantiate visually, but is observationally present (tables turned upside down, telekinetic movement, etc.)
Turns out the room that had the "ghostly" presence was a room the previous tenants used to carry out animal sacrifices... took four days for the plumbers to pull the animal parts out of the pipes.
Thank you. It really threw me off. I was thinking of a wrapped gift.
So you mean a presence was present rather than a ghost leaving you a gift.
Oh how my mind can wander when I don't notice something to be a typo.
Sorry for my misunderstanding.
I have some advice to offer in love but I'm not yet sure how to offer it to you without sounding offensive rather than concerned. So I'll not offer it yet and will pray over it first before deciding if I should offer it at all.
In Christ.
Lilly.
The bible says when a person dies his body turns to dust that returns to the ground, the persons spirit returns to its maker. (I assume to be judged)
? Ecclesiastes 12:7 ?
and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
no I don't believe in ghosts, I believe this kind of activity could be demonic.
God bless
Auto correct owns me... I just realized I typed that as present.
You can offer advice, and I think praying over it beforehand is good.
I don't have attacks like that now, but the future is unknown.
Again, I would say it depends on one's definition of ghost. If a persons spirit returns to God as the bible tells us, then they can be no ghosts on earth, correct?
So I just got done watching the horror movie "Insidious" and yes I know some will say horror movies are a sin but they dont have a bad effect on me personally I realize its just entertainment. Anyways in the movie there was a lot of "ghost" apparitions and things moving on its own and even one slapping a girl lol, but one of the exorcist ladys said it was a evil demon haunting them and I was thinking do demons mislead people into thinking when you die you stay on the earth and you just walk around haunting places?
Job 1:7 said:And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Lets look at this from what we do know
When a man dies he goes to either heaven or hell
Contrary to popular beliefs, both heaven and hell have not been opened for business as of yet. When a person dies, their soul goes to Sheol, otherwise known as the realm of the dead, to await the resurrection of the dead.
Biblically speaking what do you mean "wanting to get help moving to their final destination" Heaven and Hell are the only 2 destinations and from the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus, angels will guide us to Hell or to the place where the worm dies not.
Is that person conscious, aware, awake?
Is Sheol at the centre of the Earth?
I think you'll find Sheol is at the centre of the Earth, and is in fact hell. I'm not getting into bible translation here, but Sheol is Hell. You're talking about hell being the lake of fire. Where you're getting a little bit confused.
Sheol + Hades = hell
Gehenna = Lake of Fire.
Christians go to heaven. Unbelievers go to hell, and then the lake of fire.
I used to believe in 'soul sleep', etc also known as conditional immortality, that may or may not be true, but it doesn't apply to the saved who are passed from death unto life.
As to the discussion of Ghosts and Demons, It applies exactly the same whether or not your theological viewpoint is true. I have no issue with yours being true, or mine. So long as there IS a resurrection
God bless

I assume you have seen this video

So then while your experience proves the reality of demons it does not get to the subject of "the dead" , the idea that the dead are ghosts when in fact it is really just so much more demon activity telling a story about being the spirits of the dead.
in Christ,
Bob
Maybe you should think about seeing a Pastor/Priest about it. Thats really creepyA "ghost" phased through my shins as a ball of light initially.
