I don't think it really matters if you are worrying about how you should relate to him. Remember that whether or not he is or isn't "living in sin" he is still a human, he still has feelings, he is still your uncle and you should still love him regardless. This is the Christian message - love is selfless and love is free of opinions and this is at the end of the day all that really matters. In other words, it is his moral dilemma, not yours and it really shouldn't make a scrap of difference as to how you relate with him!

The two verses in the book of (Leviticus (18:22 and 20:13) which deal with homosexuality are really quite clear, despite the efforts of some to call their clarity into question. (Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 absolutely forbid homosexual intercourse between males. The Rabbis, in the Sifra (Aharei Mot 9:8), also understand the Torah to forbid lesbianism. The Torah’s prohibitions, let it be clear, are against actions, like male homosexual intercourse, not against fantasies or attractions.

The Torah and the Rabbis do not distinguish between types of homosexuals in any way... The Rabbis were well able to conceive of monogamous and loving relationships between members of the same sex, and I quote in my paper the texts that prove this beyond reasonable question. Yup. They are as wrong as if I were to declare that it's right to commit adultery. Only God has the absolute truth and His word tells us what it is.

Actually left-handedness was pretty much condemned by many Christians up till about 100 years ago. This is the reason why so many people back then were basically forced into right-handedness as it was actually seen as "evil". There are supposedly over 100 discriminatory references to the left hand in the Bible, all of which can be read in the way that many people concluded years ago. Many people actually thought that left-handers chose to be so simply because they wanted to be different and to stand out from the crowd; seems familiar eh? This was soon disproved as it was shown that forcibly changing a left-hander into a right-hander actually causes permanent phsychological problems such as dyslexia, stammering and extreme shyness.

You must also remember that there are more than a few verses which appear to be supportive or at least tolerant of slavery and racism...

Well, I can't, because I don't think they are condemned anywhere. But just because something was condemned by someone a few thousand years ago, it doesn't mean that it's something wrong... people make mistakes.

Second, your uncle (if he's over 12 years old) has probably heard that some people think his lifestyle is wrong, so joining your voice to that crowd wouldn't help him but would be a pretty serious block to your and his relationship, were it me? I'd leave who he sleeps with out of your conversations and stick to just loving him.

Do you actually believe that misrepresentation, dishonesty, and quoting out-of-context proves anything? Homosexual rape is NEVER mentioned in the ECF I quoted. Are you going to try to pretend that you know more about the Hebrew scriptures than any Jewish scholar in the past 3000 years +/-? and the early church including the disciples of John, and their followers?

There are supposedly over 100 discriminatory references to the left hand in the Bible, all of which can be read in the way that many people concluded years ago. [[SIZE=+1]The operative word here is "supposedly" NOT actually[/SIZE]!] Many people actually thought that left-handers chose to be so simply because they wanted to be different and to stand out from the crowd; seems familiar eh? This was soon disproved as it was shown that forcibly changing a left-hander into a right-hander actually causes permanent phsychological problems such as dyslexia, stammering and extreme shyness.

You must also remember that there are more than a few verses which appear to be supportive or at least tolerant of slavery and racism[[SIZE=+1]Irrelevant. Smoke screen[/SIZE]!][/SIZE]...

Scripture does not condemn "lefthandedness."
