Are El-Shadday and Yahweh really two different gods?

That depends on your definition of gods.

Define God as the one and only being who created the heavens and earth. Then the two labels, El-Shadday and Yahweh, refer to the same God. Genesis 17:

1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.
