Are Catholics going to hell?

I think it's possible that some Catholics will go to Hell, so the answer to your question is yes. But, will they all go to Hell? I don't think so.

If you believe in Sola Fide, you have to concede that anyone with saving faith (itself a gift from God) will be saved, despite their doctrine, learning, age, gender, or whatever.

SRY i may have been speaking too broadly, the official view of my catholic friends is that i am a lost sheep and am not saved.

Get better friends.

Thank goodness that the "official" view of the laity is not the same as the official view of their organisation.

I am of the opinion that if the Catholics (as well as the whole human race for that matter) believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the grave on the third day, they will be saved. (Rom. 10:9,13) As to the rest, thats just matters of denominational doctrine isn't it? My Bible tells me that only two things are required to be saved and they are:


"9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Rom. 10:9-10,13

It's as simple as that, that's what the Bible says, that's not my words.
