Archbishop Says Pope Francis Should be Arrested

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, who from 2011 to 2016 was the Vatican’s representative in the United States, has called for the arrest of Pope Francis in a rant on X. Viganò has long been a fierce enemy of the Pope.

Viganò’s outrage was sparked by the resurfacing of a 1998 book written by then-priest, now-Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernández. The book Mystical Passion: Spirituality and Sensuality discusses how couples might find God through sex.

Not wanting to say anything against archbishop Vigano, who did pull back the curtain on McCarrick after all, I won’t say any more about him.

There will have to be a reckoning after pope Francis finishes his time with us. I don’t suspect it can happen yet. For one thing we don’t know the full magnitude of the problems yet. There is still time for new problems to be created.
