  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I live with four chinese guys. The term "hot pot" really bothers me for some reason, and I've never eatten anything out of their hot pot. There is a wide variety of hot pots out there. The one you guys are describing sounds quite tasty. The ones made in my house tend to smell so bad that I have to leave, and you can be guarenteed you'd eat something that will leave you confused and wishing you'd known what it was...

When I'm craving chocolate, I usually......eat chocolate! I keep some in the freezer at all times, tee hee ;-) I especially eat it when I'm on the computer ;-)

But sometimes when I'm being more angelic, I have a teaspoon of Brewer's Yeast (I know.....bbbllllleeeecccchhh!) in orange juice.....it actually does stop food cravings, which "they" say are caused by mineral deficiencies.

But dark chocolate is much more fun ;-)

I go to a Chinese Church, so most of my friends are Chinese. There's a popular type of meal called, "hotpot." There's a pot in the middle of the table with boiling water. You put food in (fish, meat, vegetables, etc.) and let it cook and then take it out, mix it in your bowl of sauce (Chinese BBQ sauce, soy sauce, egg) and eat it. It's really good, and it's especially good during the cold weather.

With the older group (not that they're so old), it's quite social. With the college group, it's quite competitive.

That is definitely not my cup of tea...

Hmm...

The weirdest craving I ever get is that sometimes I actually crave broccoli. So I eat broccoli.

Sometimes I crave chocolate -- so I have a little bit of dark chocolate.

When I want something super cheesy, I'll eat a bean burrito instead.

When I want something sweet (like after a spicy meal), I'll eat dried apricots.

When I just have the generic "munchies," I eat Rold Gold pretzels dipped in natural peanut butter.

Someone recently told me that chocolate actually comes from a bean.....therefore it is a legume.....and therefore a very healthy food. ;-) heh heh

Good enough for me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to make a pig of myself. ;)
