I want to apologize to jimmy for a post in another thread that showed I was mocking this particular individual.

That was not the intent. Jimmy was the first name that came to mind and I didn't really consider the connection.

I am sorry for any offense.

If this is between you and Jimmy, have you started a conversation with him to apologize? You first need to do that privately and get things ironed out between the two of you then if you feel the need to bring it to the public forum and it's in agreement between you...fine.

I did it in public so it is appropriate to apologize publicly.

I'm not saying it's not appropriate to apologize in public. Don't you get it? You sinned against a brother, you go directly to that brother and straighten it out....THEN take it to the Body.
