Does anybody have a reason why we shouldn't try for alternative sources of energy or better emissions?

Can you actually say we aren't? Of course we can try for that, but not by force and extreme deprivation by schemes our government is cooking up to get rid of oil.

Oh the irony!!! First of all that is a ridiculous charge that can not be backed up, secondly, if you really want to use that argument, then you have to throw out anything the climate alarmists say, because, after all, where would they be without such a scare on a global level that governments pour forth money and grants on them? Where would their prestige and power go??

Actually your article neatly avoids telling us what the CRU emails tell us.

It's OK you seem to be an extremely well informed citizen, an honest scientist, or both. Maybe multiple people coming out and say the same thing with ways to back it up (or logically refute,) then happenstance and coincidence of the arguments will turn to piqued interest - which will hopefully lead to exposure.

I hope, but usually more money is just siphoned into illusions to keep them propped against truth and transparency

I wish that we were doing more. I never viewed it as an either/or situation.

Why aren't we trying to put solar panels in the desert to generate some electricity for the country? Why aren't there more wind turbines, especially in the ocean? Surely they would pay for themselves with time. I would be even happy to see more investing in educating the public on nuclear power since France has been using it for years and years without incident.

What baffles me the absolute most is that the same people who would love to not be beholden to Muslims in the Middle East are opposing that which could lead us to be less beholden to them.
