Apocalyptica

I was wondering if anyone has heard of the band Apocalyptica.
They're basically four guys who play Metallica covers with four cellos.
I don't know what more there is to say lol.
They have their own stuff too of course. It's basically just rock with cellos. ^__^

i see you don't get what i'm saying. Guitar is almost essential for rock style, so it's not out of the ordinary for a band to have one, cello, on the other hand is not. So what i'm saying is that Apocalyptica is focusing too much on how their different. And no, i'm not saying that bands can't be different but if apocalyptica had anything more to offer than an unconventional instrument, maybe i wouldn't have said that.

In another example, not alot of moden rock bands use solos, short or long and if there are some, they're usually not that great (just like modern rock bands don't use cellos) Now, imagine a band comes in, with a constant guitar solo throughout every one of their songs without vocals, the bassist (assuming its a full band) just does bassist stuff and the drummer nothing special. Its bound to get old no matter how 'different' it is.

My point is that the cello is the main instrument they use. Same for Page and his guitar.

But I love the cello, so maybe I'm biased. *shrug*

I think if you favor classical music then this band would be something you'd favor.I love classical.I've been listening to Apoc for about 2 years.Their CD Cult is their best

I understand what Yam Kimil is saying though. It's nice that they play cello, but do they actually do something interesting musically?

(note: I only heard like.. 1 metallica cover by them, so I can't really judge if it really is the case.)
