• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well Bro, even though I don't have any scripture to backup what I'm going to say, I still wanted to give you a response so you are not left hanging and worrying. The book of Revelation is a very confuseing book for the average person (that's me) and most don't understand it, but I have been to seminars and sat thru sermons about the rapture and the thing that I have learned is that when Jesus comes back to take those who know him home, everyone will know because basicly all hell is going to break loose here on earth and that will be because Satan will reign over the earth before those left who didn't know Christ are sent to hell. If you have serious questions about this and want to know my I can recommend 2 movies that may help you understand.....Left Behind and Left Behind II are 2 movies that will really make you think "what if" if you don't believe. We are given a choice, God "sends" no one to hell, we choose to either follow God or to not follow him and when we choose not to follow him we are choosing hell. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

In Him,

Bill

Hi there!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words

No, the rapture will not be over a long period of time, but we will be change in the twinkling of any eye.

1 Co 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Hi,

While I've not thought it was the rapture happening, I have noticed that lots of younger people are in the obituaries. I'm in Florida where most times the average age at death is 80-85 (or seems to be); yet the past month there are probably 1/3 from age 20-50. Don't know the significance of this or if there is any significance. Just an observation!

Edited to add: The Rapture is not dying - it's a sudden catching up of the living!

That's because FL is the #1 place for seniors to go when they retire. Well, at least in MI.

I haven't seen the moviesb but I've read all of the Left Behind books.

I just realized the other day, after I posted the first message, there wouldn't be any babies being born. And half of my teachers are either pregnant or their spouse is.

Thanks

After the rapture, there are 7 years of tribulation, and there will be babies being born. Even during the 1,000-year reign of Christ, there will be people who are still in their physical bodies, being born and dying.
