I wish i could have gone to the dawn service....and played the last post from my backyard for the whole town to hear....but i was at work

The Essondon vs. Collingwood AFL match on ANZAC day is also really good!! (except that Essondon didn't win this year...*hrumph*)

Today is the day that we give thanks to the people who served in the wars, who fought for Australia from enemy lines, who tried their best, who endured in harsh conditions. Today is the day that we remember those soldiers, not knowing where their lives will lead, uncertain future, uncertain pathway, but still, they tried their best to ensure Australia is safe.

Today is the day that we remember how lucky we are, appreciate that life is far more easier than they did.
