I just started getting into this show. I tried to watch "Nanny 911" the other night, but I didn't like it as well. I didn't like the team approach and how the nanny's were not as well organized. "Supernanny" on the other hand has a single star, Jo Frost. She's what makes it so watchable. Her warmth, firmness and humour really serve to help the families and their unruly children. It's hard to believe that there are parents who actually tolerate some of the behaviour that is shown. But to the rescue is "Jojo", who's tried and true methods tame the savage beast in the most incorrigible child. I'm eager to see the British installment of their second season which starts April 4th on ABC. It'll be interesting to see our neighbour's across the pond with their bratty kids and how Jo reigns them in. On the ABC site it says that it's a pretty desperate situation and that maybe Jo's ways fail for the first time!

Any other viewers out there? Opinions?

I really like watching SuperNanny, I haven't been able to watch it as much lately, because I work 3rd shift on Wednesdays. I have recorded it a few times but that just got to be a hassle and then there'd also be something else on at the same time I wanted to reocrd.... but anyway!!

I am anxious for the new season, it's hard to believe there are that many braty kids out there. I have patience for kids, but I don't know how much I would have dealing with some of the kids that have been on the show.

I really like it. Its amazing how small changes alter the children's behaviours so drastically. I'll try and keep all her tips and techniques in mind for when I have children in the future... but they may also be helpful in my working with kids as a career... You're going to the naughty circle...hehe

I guess tonight's a repeat, but since I haven't seen all the episodes, I'll be tuning in. Last week's show was a riot, literally. I cannot believe that there are children that are allowed to spit at their parents and call them profane names. Fer shame! That would have happened once in my house before I did something to stop it. What some parents put up with is shocking. No wonder we have a country full of bratty kids.

The repeat last night was a first for me. It was pretty emotional. Sometimes I think Jo tries to be the mom's best buddy and champion. I guess that's ok. Next week is a new episode and the family has 2 sets of twins that are very small. Oy vey! It reminds me of my family. My sister had a set of quads, then a set of twins 14 months later and then another (single) one 22 months after that. We had 6 babies at one time in diapers. So this next episode will be quite interesting for me.

I watch the show now and again, which is good, considering I'm literally about to kick the TV screen in watching those...brats. Either that or I start screaming out loud at the parents. It's terrible how far-gone today's discipline is. It really almost makes me angry. Sure the Nanny gets the kids under control, but do they really stay that way from then on after she leaves for good? Who knows...I find it hard to believe they do, because once kids get to about 4 or 5 and they are so out of control like that, it's almost too late. Really, it is. What all those kids on there need is a good spanking. But they would never spank on television. Anyhow...I guess that's my opinion on the show. Lol. It's not a bad show, it's just not really for me.

One thing that really baffles me is how thin all the mother's are. I don't know if they're screened for it, but here we have women who've had sometimes several children who are still very young. And yet, the mom's are so trim. I wonder how they all were able to so easily lose the weight after having the babies.
