Anyone remember Dark Shadows?

I vaguelly remember watching it as a young kid. Recently, I've gotten interested in it again and I just bought the 1st DVD Collection. Any thoughts, memories?

Glad to know that I'm not the only one.

I remember watching it back when I was a young little punk. I was, and still am, interested in anything that involves vampires. so it was a "must watch" show for me.
About a year ago, maybe longer, that I taped a lot of the episodes when they were showing it on the Sci-fi Channel.

How funny, I was just talking about that show yesterday at my job. I was talking about how I watched it with my Mom, I was just a little kid and loved it. I was thinking this is why to this day I love scary movies. Just bring back some fun time with my Mom, before I started school.

Yeah, that's how I originally saw it. I used to watch it before lunch. It sucked when they took it off the air.

No I didn't. I know they had auditions for the role. Good thing Frid got it, though.

Yes, I do remember that show - it was really scary and not like a normal soap opera back then and I was upset when they took it off the air.

A different actor was chosen by the producers during the auditions. When they sent the information down to the processed Johnathon's info was accidently attatched to the back of the photo of the actor chosen. No one noticed untill Freid came in to get set up in costumes. By that time it was too late to bring in the actor that had been chosen.
