Eh, I read the first three and refused to read the fourth. Constant plot holes, repitition, and stupid mistakes made on the author's part leave me not wanting to read any more. Constant contradictions throughout the novel, etc. etc. etc.

Seriously? Why would a girl who grew up in a big city run down a dark alleyway when she's being chased by a gang?

To each their own, Mr Jack :) I personally didn't pick up on the mistakes that you've mentioned in the several times that I've read each book, but everyone has their own perspective.

As to why a girl would run down a dark alleyway. Panic and fear can make people do illogical things.

Claradawn, I started another Twilight thread around here somewhere, there are few people on there who like the books too.

start reading Kuntry!!! :)

No they are not incredibly amazing works of fiction, they're not oustandingly written, but they are fun to read and the author did a great job of bridging the age gap. Everyone of all ages can enjoy the books.

The one thing I don't like about them is how, in NewMoon, she keeps bringing up things from the first book. I KNOW! I read it! You don't have to keep reminding me!

I'm glad there are some fans here

Well ya see im reading another book right now called Riven by Jerry Jinkens. I must admit I am very slow in reading books. Where some people and just sit and read and read and read I get bored or sleepy. so it has taken be about 3 weeks to get halfway done with the book im reading now. I am hoping to finish it by tomorrow becuase I go back to work tomorrow from my Vacation. but O well. I still got like 40 chapters to go. great book thou. I am really looking forward to starting the twilight series. One girl I work with said she finsihed the first book in 2 days, the second in 1 day and was halfway done with the 3rd. so they must be good!

I'm almost finished the fourth book in the Twilight series. I've enjoyed the books immensely thus far, but here and there I've stopped and thought to myself that some parts of them seem a tad...juvenile in terms of the style of writing, and in the general carry-out of the plot; kind of rushed. I'll let you know my thoughts more when I'm finally finished the series, and can give a better overall critiquing.

My daughter just loves these books. When she found out that the movie was coming out, she was literally hollering and jumping for joy. She is so enthused by them...I suppose I'll have to read them just to find out why they are so important to her. She's thrilled that Edward is played by that actor from the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie.
