Anyone play the .hack games?

It has only recently been released in the UK, and even now only the first two parts are available.
My friend did import it however, ad it looks very interesting, I plan to play it someday.

I've gotten all four parts. Pretty good games, but it gets kind of boring by the fourth because theres barely any change in gameplay.

I played the first two and part of the third. It just got too boring. I wanted to see what happened, but the combat and the dungeons were to monotonous and repetetive.

I've beaten all of the games, watched the anime, and plan on getting the older mangas, .hack//ZERO and such. I really like them, I never got quite bored with them. Even when searching for Virus Cores made me want to disembowl Kite.

I kind of regret selling my .hack games, but oh well. Maybe they will all be released in a single collection some day? Probably not, but I can hope.

I am interested in the anime and manga, although I haven't seen or read any of it yet. Would the Twilight Bracelet manga make sense even if I haven't finished the games and would it spoil anything?

BTW, Kashidi I like your Avatar. Who is it and what is it from?

The gameplay for 120+ hours was too simple and my "mage" Kite took too long to switch equipment to cast one spell on an annoying physically tollerant enemy. I didn't start the fourth, but I've beaten the third.

I always hated having to cast Ap Do, Rig Geam/Seam, etc. as I enter a world and when it wears off.

Well, I've played all four of the series. It's a good game, but not really worth 4 seperate games. If they put it all in one game and sold it, it would have been great.

I liked the anime movie that came with it a lot, it was a nice bonus =).

120+ hours? I think I beat it close to 60 hours...

.Hack//Twilight makes sense to me, and I've only played the first game, and I don't believe it spoils anything as far as I know. It's a pretty cool manga (though the fact that a lot of the girls have rather skimpy outfits bugs me...). I love Rei Izumi's art style (she's the manga artist for .Hack//Twilight).
