Anyone live on the coast in Oregon???

Where ya from, how do you like it??

I moved to the OR coast almost a year ago and LOVE it!!

I live in Tillamook, OR. Not quite on the water but only 5 miles away. Land of many waters, cows, cheese and icecream.

Didnt grow up or live on the OR coast but I was born and raised in Eureka, CA. When my family would go to Astoria, OR to my aunts' house several times a year, we would go the caost route every time. I have very fond memories of the different sites and stops.

I dont know how many times I made the treck down the steps to Seal Lion caves when I was a kid.

I got kin in Aloha, Portland, Astoria, across the river in Vancouver, Ellsworth, down river in Kelso. Everyone migrated north 'cept me - the last holdout here in CA!

but when I finally retire, am outta here (am an hour east of San Fransisco) and back up north somewhere, like say, between central/northern OR and British Columbia. prefer coastal with the ocean at my front door and the mountains at my backdoor and me and my flyrod headin to the river....

mmmm, I wish so much I lived on the coast. I'm in Portland, so it's not TOO far a drive, but having the ocean within a couple of miles of you would be AMAZING. I do make it over to lincoln city a couple times a year usually, though it's unfortunately gotten a lot more touristy in the last couple years.

Well, I close to the Oregon Coast......In Eureka ca here which is close enough.

The closest I've ever lived to there was Klamath, CA, on the mouth of the Klamath River. I've been to Brookings several times...loved it!! Also been to Grants Pass while making the loop route from Crescent City to Mt. Shasta.

I do too...during winter weekdays! LOL Lots of traffic during the weekends and summertime. When I say 'lots,' I mean 'UNBELIEVABLY INSANE AMOUNTS OF TRAFFIC.' But other than that, I feel blessed to live here. I spend most of my time fishing at Devil's Lake or beachcombing.

Yes, traffic sucks! I hate summers here due to excessive tourists. I am in Florence.

I live about an hour from the coast at the moment. Was just over to Bandon the other weekend. But soon I will not be close to the coast except for when I am up at school

I used to live in Nehalem, Oregon. I loved it there, just a simple, quite coastal town. Oh, how I miss the rain!!!
