Anyone like to crochet or knit?

I have been trying to do things offline as I spend too much time online. So I got back into knitting (mostly socks) and crocheting. Like these:

I enjoy crocheting simple things. I'm not particularly good. Currently, I'm in the process of making a blanket, and it's about 25% complete. I also had another crochet project in the works, but I can't quite recall what it was supposed to be, so I'm left with a bit of a creative puzzle, haha.

I have tried to crochet but really struggle with making the chain. It always comes undone. :(

I bought both Crochet for Dummies and Knitting for Dummies and will read them after I finish a few more books.

I am determined to learn.

You have made some beautiful projects! :D

I like the Baby Yoda and the Cactus, they are very creative. I always enjoy seeing your work. :)

Unfortunately, I have not gotten around to learning these arts, as I am both left-handed and require special guidance where matters of spatial dexterity are concerned. I have nothing but respect for those who do them, however. You seem to be quite gifted in this area and may the Lord bless you in your future endeavors.

Those look great! I have been crocheting and have made a few blankets now.

I started doing it again after my son’s time in the ICU. I was too anxious, so my mother in law brought some yarn and crochet hooks and dropped them in my lap. I made so many dish rags… I’m stocked for years! Then I made some mop pads. I made a blanket that ended up bigger and heavier than I expected, then I made a blanket for my daughter and my oldest. I’m almost finished with a blanket for my middle son. Next I will make a blanket for my brother. Each blanket so far has had a few mistakes in it. Maybe someday I will get it right!

This is one of my latest socks:

The yarn is from Mary Maxim, Premier Fruits. They have a free pattern for them. It is the best pattern I have found. I had a problem with the socks falling down and then learned about negative ease. You measure the circumference of the wide part of the foot near the toes, then subtract 10 to 20 % and choose a size based on that. For example, my circumference is 8 in. which would be a medium size, but I made it x small size and it is perfect.

This is the one I made for my oldest. I ran out of yarn for the border! I ended up using up all the yarn I bought for his blanket.

I made this for my daughter. The mistake came at the very end… I accidentally offset the stitches on the last heart, so it is crooked.
