I am young and was unable to see the grateful dead with Jerry Garcia Live
I have many bootlegs and a few hard copies and find their music to be relaxing.. anyone out there like them also?

Something very special about them. Blues for Allah is my favorite album. Saw them at Nassau Colleseum, Uniondale NY...May 1981 I believe.

My dad saw them in concert a few times with good ol Jerry.
They are ok. I havent really gotten into them. One hippy band at a time is enough for me. And right now Im working on Phish. Next thing you know I will own a poncho and stop wearing a bra LOL

phish is amazing... i've been listening to them a ton.

The Dead are/were great; I much prefer them to any of the other hippie jambands that have come out since. Never got to see them up close though, no "miracles" for me alas! Wish I could have checked them out in the early/mid 70s, w/the Godchauxes and no Mickey. Oh well, there are plenty of great recordings floating around...

I'm a fan. Not much to say beyond that. I obviously didn't get to goto any shows with Jerry. I'm only 19. (sure I could have gone in the early 90's, but I would have been super young)

Cant really say I got into them really..They just never did it for me. No offense to the people who love them.....I do though love the video where they were all skeletons!!
