Anyone know when Internet Explorer 7.0 is coming out?

Guys, please don't turn this into a browser war or I will have a moderator lock this thread.
Sorry!!
That's what happens tho when you let a bunch of computer geeks get together in an enclosed space. ;)^_^ I guess I just can't pass on any opportunity to knock Micro$oft. Oops, did it again...

a browser war I seen a bunch of people discussing the advantages of for-mentioned IE7 . Ive used the beta 2 for like 3 months now. The onlly bug ive found is the text editing has some bugs (its a bit slow) but the tabbed browsing is nice and I like it for scripting and networking capabilities. You can have MORE security with IE if you know how to tweak it properly GOD bless all you boombas =))

I've used all the betas of IE7. The first was atrocious, the current one is actually a pretty decent usable browser. Still not as good as Firefox, but close.

If only you could use NT authentication in Firefox, then I'd be happy.

Has anyone heard when Internet Explorer 7.0 is coming out? I have heard that it will have tabbed browsing so I can't wait! I'd gladly use Internet Explorer instead of FireFox all the time if it had tabbed browsing.

I've heard that it will be out 3rd quarter 2006 (July-Sept) ;)

I've tried Firefox and Thunderbird and the fact is, when you run into
trouble, you're on your own.

and that's not the case with any of microsoft's products?

there's a huge community behind firefox and thunderbird. you can just browse through the mozillazine forums and get TONS of help, tips, tricks, and other excellent info there.

however, in my case, they *just work*. something i have not yet been able to say about any microsoft software.

I must concur. :) M$ let IE 6 languish for years without much attention and definitely not many new features.
