A fantastic eating place in beautiful historic surroundings. Always love calling in here when I pop into Stafford. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, you are taken care of by very caring and attentive staff. Food is excellent, and the staff dress in traditional uniforms with good old fashioned service.

It is quite a challenging walk to get to the top, but you are rewarded with far-reaching views across the whole of the English Midlands and across into the Welsh Borders. The view of patchwork fields below gives the illusion that you are flying. The town of Shrewsbury can be seen in the distance.
The Wrekin was once the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort. Today there is little there except for a large television/radio transmitter.
