Emo, as a genre, has become so inclusive that it has become difficult to decipher between what's emo and what's not. Although I enjoy many styles of music, emo is one of my priorities.

For good bands I would suggest The Early November, Senses Fail, Dashboard( of course, sappy though they are) Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run, Brand New, Bright Eyes, and; I'm not sure if you could classify them as emo but, COHEED AND CAMBRIA.
