doesn't seem like there is a lot of house church stuff going on in Jersey, especially south Jersey. I have been loosely connected to others i the area, we are hoping to start a Messianic home fellowship down the road, but God has not given us the go-ahead yet.

I know of several assemblies in New Jersey that were meeting in homes til they grew large enough to need a building. You might also like to see my post on this site: Meeting In Homes (House Meetings). It will help in understanding the fellowship. Look up always!

I wish there was some website that included a searchable list of home groups people have pinned on to the website or something like that. That's the thing about home groups, I have a feeling a lot of people would love to be a part of them but just don't know how to find one because it's not like a church were you can just google it and they have their own website, thats usually not the case.

there are some good websites, House to House, house church directory, simple church, but yeah I think often the listings are out dated and a lot of house churches don't really even know about the websites or bother registering

I don't think the Bible supports the idea of Christians forming or seeking sects to please us. He gave us His intention for His church testimony in the world (see Acts 2:41-42 and all of the Epistles). He intends that we seek to express the truth of "the one body in Christ" in the world ---not more sects. One can read good ministry on this at the biblecounsel.homestead.com site. Ask questions there if a serious seeker.

The scriptural church in the Bible is much different than what we see men forming every year. The "time is short" as God says, and we need to conform to Him and forget our innovative ideas.
