I considered it when we first started homeschooling but, DH and I decided that we could not in good conscience accept their rules. The big deal breaker for us was that we would have had to sign an agreement that during the hours of 7:30 - 3:30 M - F we would NOT give our children religious instruction. DH and I just could not sign that and if we didn't we couldn't get their program because it is essentially Public School At Home, and that wasn't what we wanted for our Children.

If there are any other questions I can help you with feel free to PM me, I live in AZ as well and have gotten quite used to navigating their laws and such.

Yes, that is true, but once you get to the actual enrollment and read the enrollment contract/agreement it has a clause for religious education and it can not take place from 7:30 - 3:30. I was literally at the point where I was ready to sign the contract when I read the fine print. And both of the Virtual Schools were the same, I tried AZ Virtual Academy and Connections Academy and they both have the same clause.

Honestly though it's about what you as a family can live with, if you feel it's ok then go for it, that's the beauty of homeschooling, you do what you feel is best for your family. For us that was one thing we just couldn't live with.
