I have bought and have started to read The Case for Christ by Strobel.

How about Experiencing the Cross by Blackaby or The Journey by Billy Graham or The Purpose Driven Life by Warren.

I looked up those two books, but they seem more Lutheran based, which is OK, but not exactly what I think I want. I was not raised Lutheran. I am Protestant, but not Lutheran. Not that it matters, but I think it may confuse me some, because my religion is more closer to Catholic than to Protestant, even though it is Protestant. Thank you again for your suggestions.

Well if you like Case for Christ, there's also Case for Faith and Case for a Creator both by Lee Strobel.

I've recently been reading Mere Christianity by C.S Lewis and have found that to be very good.

I really like NT Wright. At his website there is a ton of great stuff (audio files, sermons, etc).

He has a great series...that is exhausting but great. Origins of Christianity. There are three books, New Testament and the People of God, Jesus and the Victory of God, and Resurrection of Jesus of the Son of God...he has not finished the other two books in the series...

DEFINITELY read the Left Behind Series by Jerry Jenkins!! They are really good books that give you an insight as to what will happen when Jesus returns. Also the Soon Series by Jerry Jenkins is good too. It is basically about the same thing, but much shorter and has a completely different story line. I have read both, and they are definitely GREAT books to read

Thanks for the suggestion, CrazyForYeshua! I saw one book by Blackaby on the internet......I will try to look that up after I'm done reading a Case for Christ and The Journey by Billy Graham. I'm not a big Billy Graham fan, but the reviews on one website said that it was a very good book.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are discarding my recommendations, especially since you feel you are closer to a Catholic belief than Protestant. Lutherans are neither Catholic or Protestant but we have a liturgy that very closely resembles the Roman Catholic one.

Personally, I think my book suggestions wouldn't confuse you more but put your focus more on Christ.

My friend gave me this book for my birthday and honestly, I have never read a book that defines and elaborates faith so simply. If you have any questions on faith, this book will answer them.
