Anyone got an Alienware? Help!

Ok, love the heck out of this PC, its amazing...but how the heck do I configure the My Pictures/My Documents/My Music/Messenger keys on top of the keyboard?

I can't figure it out. I tried the "keyboards" settings in My Control Panel, but they don't have a tab to configure the keys.

most likely it is with the keyboard it self (software)

I know i have a logictech keyboard for my laptop and it had me install software... if i want i can configure each of the buttons at the top to go to different places than what they say...

you may want to check that out.

I would buy an Alienware but I havn't won the lottery yet........

anyway check your startup list, they made a configure program in there also check what processes you have running also check what taskbar icons appear as well. Hopefully you should the program that controls your keyboard thru there.

Or you could try contacting Alienware and asking them.

Yeh, after all, that's what you are paying that $150 for 3 year support for. :\

Personally, I like modding my own computers. AW's boards are trash much like the ones that come in all other manufactured pc's like Dell, compaq, and HP. Using the cheap stuff to try to save money while still charging you an arm and a leg for it.

Yup, the keyboard software that came with your computer will make them work. Your more than likely just using default generic keyboard software, which wont make the extra buttons function.
