I was wondering if any of you moms and dads have ever done any fundraising for your child's special needs - meaning fundraising for any foundation that researches and helps those with your child's special needs?
My boys have Ichthyosis, and last month was "Ichthyosis Awareness Month", and a few parents I converse with on the internet were doind some fundraising for Ichthyosis awareness, And a foundation that reasearches and helps those with this disorder; and I ALMOST followed through on an idea I had, but I ended up overwhelmed by it, some people have ordered bracelets, and sold them (you know, the rubber awareness ones that are popular now?), but I am not sure how that's such a big money maker, more of an awareness thing, I guess.
Anyway, just wonderin if any of you have ever taken on or been involved in fundraising, and how that went, ideas, etc. (Like anyone has time, right?!
