Old guy over here!
It's about the same for me,
Bretherngirl94!:

Yay more like me! I do have to agree...I'm kind of...I don't know..not 100% Mennonite but I basically say that I am because I pretty much agree with almost everything they do.
graciesings, I haven't given much thought to what the Mennonite/Anabaptist teachings are on relationships, raising children, and whether they teach being independent of the grid, but so far when I've focused on other aspects of the faith I've found so much in common (with the denomination, I haven't found/made friends with other believers, especially not IRL), but I do think things like not having a TV is VERY important, and I spend very little on clothes - but I have to look for good shoes and socks because I have big feet (it's the heel):
I agree with the lifestyle theology, [...] I like the way they dress, their way of raising children makes more sense, [...] and I agree about having a separate Christian culture instead of following the world's trends.
Unlike many over here a few years above my age, I don't have Lutheran roots. I'm not exactly native, but almost. Many natives have Lutheran roots. Nowadays the Lutheran Church over here is very liberal, but loosing members and having problems with empty medieval buildings. I've been to a Roman-Catholic high-school/college for two semesters and one month (done), but You didn't notice much of it and most were Muslims. There they offered classes to take in the Church, which I did the initial semester, among them RCIA (I was the only one from the school taking Catholic classes at that time), but I had to quit the RCIA because it collided with Maths in the schedule in another school the next semester when I had study break for one semester from the Roman-Catholic school.
Not right now, but I AM going to take two Old Testament classes in the Roman-Catholic university. I have to work towards getting to start Greek studies first though:
I have some Catholic and Lutheran roots.
A big reason to be Anabaptist! Lacking a Church to go to nearby, I'm a member of the local peace organization that works over here. They want this country to export fewer weapons. I've recently noticed some people are unaware that we make weapons and even export them, but we do, for billions (I'm not in North America or a big country):
I think they are right about pacifism,
See my post:
Good that You bring this up,...:
And I have prayed to Mary.
