scared to DEATH of the end times? As in the part where Jesus comes back in particular?

um what is that last supposed to mean?Find comfort in the fact that nothing will happen to you that is not in God's will. Jesus paid the price, and although the thought is scary at what may happen to us as believers, it is temporal and He defeated death for us. Know this, as pointed in scripture, many will say in the end times, "He is here" or "He is over there". If that happens, and you pinch yourself and feel it, Christ has not returned.
Jesus told us the servant is not better than the master, and as He suffered, we would suffer even more. The TV preacher stuff about money, prosperity, and an easy life is fluff and feel-good mumbo jumbo. If Christ was rejected by the world, and someone calls themself His follower yet the world accepts them with open arms, it's time to start questioning yourself.
um what is that last supposed to mean?
but which kind of love? I have dealt with non-Christians as recently as earlier this summer who cared about me and were able to get on and work with me for a whole week (basically one on one ) with no issue.John 15:19
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
The world hates Christians, if they start loving you then you are doing something wrong is what he is saying.
Anyway, No you should not be worried. The Lord told us many times not to worry. He is not mad at as, unless we flock to the antichrist and he comes back for his virgin bride (the church) and he finds his bride with child.
If his bride has a child, it means she wasn't faithful. Think of a soldier going to war, coming back and his wife has a baby now that couldn't be his.
Stay strong, wait for the Lord and don't listen to traditions of men. Wait until the last trumpet when our true Christ comes.
That we need to be careful we are not easily fooled.um what is that last supposed to mean?

Rom. 10:13 --> "For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"One reason I am scared is that I am scared God granted me my former wish to NOT go to Heaven, but to pay for my own sins in Hell.
but then at one point I decided I would rather pay for my sins myself, even though I KNEW it would mean Hell for all time.Rom. 10:13 --> "For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"
I presume you've called upon the name of the Lord? If so, you have nothing to worry about![]()
One reason I am scared is that I am scared God granted me my former wish to NOT go to Heaven, but to pay for my own sins in Hell.
1 John 1:9 --> "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."but then at one point I decided I would rather pay for my sins myself, even though I KNEW it would mean Hell for all time.
I think it's only scare if one buys into the sensationalized futurist dispensational view of the end times.
If you believe Revelation pans out the way guys like Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye insist, then that's going to cultivate a very fearful life, and trust me, that fear won't be relegated simply to end times beliefs. It will permeate every aspect of your worldview because that's what Eschatology does. What you believe God's ultimate plan is will determine how you practice your faith now.
I spent a (thankfully brief) season of my life wound up like a swiss watch over all the futurist ideas of Eschatology, swallowing every conspiracy theory that came my way and yeah I was full of fear. I'm convinced that's the only fruit of that perspective. Fortunately I returned to my roots, patiently studied the Scriptures, their historical context, the traditional view of the church over the course of history as well as some of the other details involved with interpreting Christ's Revelation to John.
Like Crypto said, we have a future hope to look forward to. God's redemption of the universe in Christ coming to completion at Christ's second coming. The fractured, dissonant nature of creation will be fully restored and brought into harmony with its maker. A future hope of resurrection, our own transformation mirroring that of Christ's and heaven and earth brought together once-and-for-all, where we will dwell with God. Swords will be beaten into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks, we'll partner with God (just like we can and do now) to cultivate the earth and be the proper stewards of it that we were meant to be.
To me that sounds incredible, and something to look forward to, not dread.
