I don't know where to begin except to say this has been on my mind of late. I've kept an open mind as to ALL the hopeful presidential candidates as to be better prepared to make the best decision for my country. I did not start out opposed to Obama. However the more I heard from him, the more wary I became, something wasn't sitting well with me yet I couldn't put my finger on it ... I'd been through a tough time spiritually over the past few months, and quite recently made my peace with Jesus. It was at this time that I felt close to God again, and I began having these terrible feelings that were not linked to anything specific. The best way I can describe it is to compare it to an instinct when we know danger is near - we don't know what it is or when it will come, but we know something is coming.

I am not one to be caught up in paranpid delusions. I'm usually the one who is the voice of reason in the family. However, when I began weighing over this culture of death we live in, how the extreme liberal/secular progressive movement has spread worldwide, the though occurred to me that Barrack Obama seems to be the epitome of this movement & if he was to become President, there may be no turning back to traditional lifestyles.

Please do not judge me for as half baked as this sounds, the thought occurred to me that Obama seems to have many of the qualifications of the Antichrist. The man is, to me, the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing. He is quite the deciever - he touts himself as a Christian yet his actions do not support this claim. I keep thinking of Jesus' warning to us: "Every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will know them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:16-20)

Does Revelation not say that the Antichrist will be a "King" who will rule for two years? The False Prophet will herald his coming ... I was thinking this over ... the flase prophet would be someone influential, who had sway over large masses of people. There is no false prophet, right? Oprah Winfrey. I remember a while ago she was claiming on her show that there was more than one way to God - that we did not have to go through Jesus to get to the Kingdom of Heaven! Blasphemy! Jesus told us the only way to the Father is through the Son!!! She is an influential woman and when she talks, people listen. She put Obama on the map, there is no denying it. HE CAME FROM NOWHERE. His real coverage began when Oprah Winfrey endorsed him.

Another thing that bothers me is how people have flocked to him in massive numbers. A friend of mine was commenting on this and she called it mass hysteria ... ok, a misuse of the actual meaning of the word, but she's right. The way in which this country has latched on to him in such a short period of time is worrisome.

Remember the Antichrist's followers were supposed to have a number on their foreheads? What if this has something to do with a voting ID?

So here I am thinking I am mental when I decide to look up my fears on the internet - see if anyone else has made the conneciton. Turns out there are numerous websites making this claim, with scripture to back this up. I was shocked, yet relieved to learn I am not the only one who has made this connection. Here is one of the websites I came across that adressed almost every one fo the fears I'd had - even made the Oprah connection!!!!! http://www.barackobamaantichrist.blogspot.com/

Has anyone else here made these connections? What are your thoughts on this?

Scripture teaches us that fear and worry are not from God~no I am not concerned over who the next Prez will be; I like watching the political process and talking about but I do not participate in the process.

Bear in mind that as a Christian we are part of the Kingdom of God, and that supercedes all the political boundaries set up by men and laws and constitutions. We are ambassadors of that Kingdom to the world here on earth. The nations will rage, their Kingdoms will rise and fall, but ours is a calling from God to share the gospel, care for the sick and widowed and orphaned and imprisoned and hungry.

Obama as antichrist~no, I think that person will be far more clever and less prone to blunders;)

I also have disliked him the more ive heard of him. The entire thing with his pastor and his responce to the situation has only made my feelings more uneven. Just know that if you belive in God and Jesus and follow their will that you will not fall into falling to what Obama says if he is indeed the antichrist. I dont think he is but either way it is not good to put anyone above God.

I'm with MrJim on this one. I don't think Obama is slick enough by half to be the anti-Christ. He's just another politician, though one with considerable charm.

If it were just a personality and character contest, I might be inclined to vote for Obama. I genuinely like the guy, and think he's the best of the three left in the race, issues aside. But I can't put issues aside, and he's dead wrong on the issues. Hillary is no better, and I would never support her in any case. That leaves with me no choice but to support McCain.

I don't think Obama is the anti-christ, however, there is an alarming air of messianic fervor surrounding him and his movement.

If you look at the things his devotees say about him, it is scary.

This is of course nothing new, its happened before in politics, but it is not any better for the fact that its happened before.

There are a lot of people around drinking the Obama cool-aid. I personally think he will be the next president. I also suspect that his presidency, if it does occur will be very bad for the country.

I don't know who the antichrist will be, but I don't think we're biblically called to be looking for him - instead we're to keep our focus on the Lord's return.

I also think that the coming antichrist power isn't going to be from the USA, but from the EU or some other power elsewhere.
I think as Americans we live in a vacuum of what goes on in this country becuz our news is so poor and centralized to what happens here (most of it about Britney Spears or some other celebrity stuff) instead of what's really going on in this world.
We tend to see everythign in a small bubble imho.

I don't know who the antichrist will be, but I know God has it all under control & it will happen on His schedule when the time is right.

I'll continue to focus on the Lord & my service until He returns for me or takes me home before that.

IMHO, the only one that has
The right to judge Obama is God
And that I will leave it at that.
But wished that Huckabee was still in the race
As I really don't like the candidates.
But would pick McCain anyday over the two.

I would of wanted Huckabee till I heard Rush Limbaugh rehash his voting and proposed ideals.
As he read them off, I thought Rush was going over a liberal's record!
He may be Christian, but his policies are quite liberal - after hearing those details, I didn't want him at all and was very happy he was defeated.
I don't like McCain any either, but I find Mccain more conservative in his political policies than Huckabee (amazingly).
I think the only way Huckabee is hardcore conservative is in his moral views.

While I'm no fan of Mr Obama, mainly because of his liberalism, especially his support for abortion and hope he does not become the next US President for that reason (though I have a feeling he will) I don't believe he is the Antichrist. For one thing Scripture indicates that the AC will arise from the boundaries of what used to be the ancient Roman Empire which suggest he will be European.

Well, Obama really worries me.....not that I in anyway think he is the anti-christ, but we sure do not know what his agenda is (change means nothing to me, change what his socks)

I find comfort in the fact that God is in control, but I still don't want to go through what we will if Obama becomes prez....... I don't think it will be plesant.

Praise God I have my faith in the Lord and the knowledge that He will never leave me or forsake me.
