• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I was hoping there was someone else who has been afflicted by this addictive lifestyle and has some words of encouragement. It has been over a year since I engaged in it but I still think about it every once in awhile. I have tried to restructure my thinking because I dont want to associate that with sexuality but it is not working.
I am trying not to be to explicit since there are kids reading these posts

Hello

Sorry to hear you are going through a tough time.

I've not been through quite the same thing and can't say much more without being too explicit, but I can say that God's love will heal all wounds. Get lots of safe, loving support from Christians. And when I say safe, I mean people who will listen, not judge or put you down, and will allow you to express your emotions, and allow you to do this in love.

If you have enough of this and ensure that you focus on God and accept His love for you and remember how much He loves you, the other stuff will get better. Restructuring your thinking isn't the way to go - believe me, I've tried that. Focus on God. Spend lots of time doing whatever you do to worshsip him: prayer, music, whatever works for you and God. God will then sort out you in His own time.

Much love

Maharg

Hope this helps

That's right sis (Maharg) In order for us to be COMPLETELY FREE we must give it ALL to God. Hiding the problem and restructuring out thoughts only hides it for the moment, but GOD COMPLETELY TAKES IT AWAY!PRAISE GOD! I won't get explicit either, but I had sexually problems too. But I no longer have because I gave it COMPLETELY to our loving and heavenly Father.

If u need to talk 2someone please feel free to write me and I will help in anyway I can, k.

I luv ya and GOD LOVE'S YOU!

Hugz & Love
