I know that its terrible, I'm just having a really bad Christmas this year. And its pretty darn hard to remember the true meaning of Christmas. I just feel like downing a whole lot of something and passing out... Or running away somewhere far far away.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Christmas has been stressful, a lot of crying(not the good kind) and just hard to deal with. No money. No motivation. Our tree is up,no decorations. No decorations around the house. Doesn't feel like Christmas. My husband is so stressed with work/money. I am stressed with the boys,not smoking, and holding my husband's stress.

I am sorry that both of you are struggling this Christmas.
I know it is easy to build up what we think Christmas should be in our minds to something that can never happen. I am guilty of that too.
It is really a simply message that the Savior is born.
My goal I just to thank God for his gift on this day.
A lot of the rest is not what I would like, but it is not important either.

I'm so sorry you're struggling so today. I do hope the day has passed quickly and you will feel better tomorrow. I know it's a tough time of the year for many - I wish that wasn't true for you as well.

i hate the fake Christmas but Im so glad Jesus came and that i can really celebrate his birth!! anyhow Christmas day is now over in Ireland......
