  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone else ever do a Christmas Bazaar?

What are you planning on taking to sell? I do shows a lot so I may be able to help you out a little. Make sure to take the following items. There is nothing worse to get out there and need one of these and not have it.

Tape
Pens
Stapler
Calculator
Receipt Book
Blank paper
Big signs with prices, etc.
If you hand make your items, make sure to make a sign stating that.
Table Clothes
Chair if one is not provided

Anyways, if I can be of any other help, please let me know.

Don't be nervous. You'll have a great time visiting with people and with the other vendors. Watch for shoplifters. My wife is a jewelry designer and we have something stolen at almost every show.

Spend some time at home working out how you want to display your stuff.

CPWALTON's list is good, but I have a couple of things to add:

Water to drink
A snack
Change (as in cash)
A tape measure and your tools depending on what you are selling

I have found these shows to be tough this year. Seems like everyone and their dog is having a sale, so the crowds are light.
