Anyone Else Disapointed by Fable?

I finally got the chance to play Fable on the XBox and beat it in a week!! (I only play a few hours a day) but I was very disapointed in this!

The story was decent, although could have been better. The graphics were pretty good, and the gameplay itself was ok...

I'm just disapointed! Glad I didn't actually pay for the game (I work for an XBox retailer and XBox has training programs where you can earn free games)

Fable is an excellent game...a few rough spots..and definatly has stuff that could have been left out...but the game play is good...it has a decent length to it to being able to do anything you cant to do in it. its about 20 hours. You are hard pressed to find any game made nowadays that is longer than 20 hours...infact the only one that comes to mind if Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic 1 and 2...which both average at about 50 hours each. Either way...all games can be beat within a week.

I was disappointed.

I'm actually holding off finishing the game...

I'm at the final part where I'm fighting "Jack". I've had that game saved for over a month now since I'm not ready to finish it yet.

I'm trying to decide if I'll be playing it a second time as an "evil" person.

First off, you can keep playing after you beat Jack... just sit through the insanely long credits, then you actually get the gold reward for the quest and get to save your game.

I think it's a pretty awesome game, but I have some complaints with it as well. If you're going to make a game that lets you choose your actions and so on... why can't you also choose skin tone, height, hair color, or gender?!? I would love to play this game as a girl as well as a guy. It'd be a lot more fun to replay that game that way...

I made a thread somewhere in this section that had mentioned recommended changes in case they ever decide to make a Fable 2.

One of them included allowing you to play as Whisper... as a second alternate story line.

I was very disappointed with it but then I made the mistake of listening to the hype. I was expecting it to be an advanced, tweaked out Morrowind and it falls way short. It is a good game, though and I would have enjoyed it so much more if the hype machine hadn't ruined it for me.

i think that may be a neat add-on to this game....most other rpgs do let you do this....then again there are some that dont too so i`m not really going to call that a downside.

The game was great, no doubt about that, I still play it to this day just to run around as good and get praise or evil and get fear. :) However, those who heard what was promised in the game were more dissapointed than others. Dragons, vast armory, much much longer quests, etc. However, to most, if not all, we were surprised by how short the main story line ended.

However, I'm only a little dissappointed, but still surprised on how fun it is. :D

I just wished that the experience points would come to me automatically after killing someone, instead of me having to hold down the trigger button to 'draw' them towards me.

I enjoyed sniping my enemies from long-range... so it was difficult and time consuming trying to get those green blobs from so far away.
