CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was just in my university's production of Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?. It went really well, but it's a crazy edgy show. I have auditions for more shows in about the next week.

I'm currently rehearsing for our school's performace of AIDA. I absolutely ADORE the music...Elton John is a flipping genius and nothing beats Tim Rice's lyrics!!!!

I've never heard of AIDA, what's it about?
About an hour from now I'll be going to my high school to prepare for the second performance of Once Upon a Mattress. Last night's show went rather well, but I'm hoping that we do way better tonight. I was thiiiis (holds fingers close together) close to getting a really great part (the Minstrel, if you're wondering), but the director changed her mind and I got a much less cool part, but it's pretty fun anyway. We've got two more performances after tonight, and although I do enjoy it, I'll be glad to have free time again once it's over.

i was just in our community theatre's production of "The Music Man." it was a blast, and all five performances went so well! I was a pick-a-little lady, and mind you, i liked that song the least, always have! it was such a fun role though, and i can't wait to be in another!

Oh, I love Aida! Our High School did it last year, I played Zoser. I kinda enjoyed being evil. Right now we're starting auditions for Hello Dolly! I'm aiming for the part of Cornelieus, and I think I have a good chance at getting it.
