  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I absolutely love this group - even though they are a bit more melodic than what this die-hard LS and all things "Solid State" fan prefers. I do miss the rap-core style of music that predominated "Fireproof" - however this CD definately stands out on its own.

Two years ago when "Fireproof" came out I commented on how much the title track reminded me of the 80s metal band "Ratt." I would have to say that I am definately seeing the influences from Ratt more on this CD especially on the tracks "Holding On," "Dirty Little Secret," and "Staring Back." One of those guys has to have listened to them - its just too much of a coincidence for it not to be so.

At least they still have their own style despite the influence - but I love that crisp guitar sound on this and their last CD - which really reminds of RATT.

Something else that I love about this CD - is that they are selling it for so cheap - makes me wonder what happend with Atlantic Records -- who I heard was going to sign them last Summer. God bless them for not selling out like POD did!
