  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They were a fun band who had a serious side. Some of their albums are ok. They were fun live. If I started listening to them now I probably wouldn't be too into them, but since I got into them way back when I still like them (for sentimental reasons only sometimes).
I dont' really care for Joe Yerke's vocals at all..but then again I was never really into ska all that much. FIF was enough of other things besides ska for me to get into them. Reese's voice has probably improved over the years...I haven't really heard too much from his new band Roper but it seems a lot like FIF (without the horns).

I was all about Upbeats and Beatdowns back in Junior High. Haha. They were a fun band and they were really good live. It's nice that they quit while they were ahead. They bounced back with some decent material, post-All The Hype. They'll always hold a special place in my heart.

They're pretty good and pretty funny. Reese's vocals aren't the best though. When it comes to ska vocals, Joseph Yerke (Insyderz) is the best.
:amen:
As far as their other stuff goes, Chew Water is disgusting.

You are the bringer of death! Run for your lives!

funny you mention that

There was a sick dove in our front yard, and we tried getting it to eat and drink. I went and had a look at it and just gave it a gentle poke to see if it would move. It rolled over, had a fit and died.

They are ok but not my favorite, I seen them in concert before and believe it or not they sound better live. I also saw Me without you live, that was super sweet. I saw Blindside live They were just beautiful not in a perverted kind of wat but in the band was super sweet kind of way lol. I have seen many Bands live and the only one I was disapointed with was switchfoot, they were horrible live.............................. I apologize to any switchfoot fans but the vocals are terrible live.
