  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, it's that time of year again. Is anybody getting ready to graduate? I'm about to myself and I've got a bad case of senioritis. Anybody have any big plans after graduation?

I'm going into the military, so all I have to do is pass finals and show up for training. I'm thinking things will get harder from there on out.

You and me both. :p I graduate in 34 days and have been doing so little studying I don't think I can legitimately call myself a student anymore. ;) That'll change starting tomorrow as I start preparing for finals, but still . . .

Congrats to all fellow grads and good luck to all!

Well congrats to everyone who's graduating.

Man, I don't think I could see myself getting a masters! At least not after getting a BS or BA! I've been in school for 16 years straight now, yeesh! Time for a break :)

I thought about taking a break for a few years... but i know once you do, you probably won't go back.

In 2004 (i think) I took a two semester break and last year i took the summer off. I really didn't want to return but did anyhow so i can move on with life.

Yup. I'm going straight into my grad school research in June, too, which makes the senioritis that much worse.

Me too! graduate in May then grad school, though probobly not untill Aug. What will you be researching?

I have already been accepted to 3 grad schools, so the motivation to keep my grades up has slipped a bit. I can't wait to be done with classes (in another 2 years) and spend all my time in lab:cool: (I'm such a nerd)

yeesh! Time for a break :)

I kinda like the student lifestyle. Its pretty laid back, other students are fun to be around, and I don';t have to start paying back student loans yet ;). I'll be in school for another 6 years, so that will be a total of 23 years in school. Wow thats a big number. thats as long as I've been alive.

I'm not sure it's equivalent to the american system. But i'll be graduating in september (no more exams, just a final year project of 6 months to do).

And then... either a PhD or work as an engineer. I'm still wondering if a PhD is really useful (assuming i intend to stay in France where research is rather down).
