• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

this is one of like five or ten resolutions I'm going to tackle come Jan. 1, 2010. I'm not going to smoke anymore, I'm going to start running and working out and whatnot, and I'm going to eat healthier. also on the agenda: studying the Bible every day, and submitting applications to some colleges.

I feel pretty good about my luck. I think if I have a few days off work, I could quit in that time and not have so much irritability to deal with when I go back in, because the hardest time to quit is when you're working. I also think that if a whole bunch of people made it their resolution together and kept one another in check the whole ordeal might be easier.

Started 2 weeks ago, mainly because of moving back in with the parents. Last week was fairly rough, had a bad case of the jitters, now I'm just dealing with the occasional craving, and have to remember to remind myself that I'm supposed to be stopping.

Also have exercise on the list of things to do, so far managed to get a good daily walk, and I've attempted to jog part of the way the last couple of days.. my knees don't like me much right now, and the motion of jogging still knocks the wind straight out of me, really need to get my bike sorted as I can ride that for miles without any trouble.

Great resolutions. I want to quit smoking. I see what it does to others but I don't feel I have the strength to quit. I should pray on this a lot. I want to eat less as a resolution. God bless you!
