  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My favorite song of theirs is easily "Sober". Simply ridiculous. :)

When is their album supposed to come out?

My other fave song is Eulogy, but it has a very bad line! tsk tsk

I'm not sure they are droppin a new album anytime soon. I though Keenan was workin w/ APC recently?

No, Tool is in the studio. I had heard that some time ago, though, so perhaps the album is in the mixing/mastering stage by now. Either way.

Any of my favorite Tool songs can be found on Opiate. Next to that, there are good Tool songs, but nothing compares to that EP.

i'd say aenima and lateralus can compete with opiate.

although i definately think Jerk Off is their most intense song. and i'd have to say, for being a live recording, it sounds pretty good. they must put on a great show.

That's one of the very songs from that EP of which I speak.

Most.
Intense.
Song.
Ever.

I agree, Aenima is pretty good in it's own right, but, aside from "Sober", Opiate was my first real taste of Tool, and there was so much intensity throughout that cd, that it was hard for me to top for some time.
