On what Paul was saying/doing when he cursed those who didn't love the Lord at the end of 1 corinthians?

1 Corinthians 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord—a curse be on him. Come, O Lord

1 corinthians deals with disorder in the church. i think he was talking about those in the church who didnt love the lord, and were causing all the problems that he was trying to fix. cursing them sounds extreme to me. perhaps they had already been rebuked and were still creating divisions so he cursed them to either make them go away or to bring them to a point of brokeness so that they might be humbled enough to repent and redidicate their lives to christ. forgive me for such wild speculation, lol. paul was such a passionate christian, i know he had a good reason though, that much i can garantee.

There is already a curse on everyone that doesnt love the Lord.
John 6:44

And Paul didnt have any passion. Or he wouldnt have received the knowledge that he had of the Lord.

Gal 5:24-25
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

some of this is what i was wondering about -- that there is already a curse on everyone who doesn't love the Lord --- so why would Paul utter a curse given that -- unless it was something more, although what could be more; or something different - hmm. thank you both of you for your thoughts on this

Paul said it because the people didnt know.
