CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Which one did you read? I've read and own them all, except for the latest book. I haven't read that one yet. Mossflower is my favourite. Who's your favourite character?

I loved them individually, but taken together they get a little repetitive. That said, reading two or three was still great! I liked the original one best, along with Mossflower and Mattimeo, they were the most novel. Love them moles!

I don't really like the original book as much, but I love 'The Legend of Luke' and especially 'The Pearls of Lutra'. Has anyone read those?

I like 'em. If you look at it, the storylines are really repetitive, but Jacques manages to make it seem original all the time. I just finished 'Loamhedge'. Pretty good. I think my favorite is 'The Long Patrol'.

I don't know why, but I don't really like 'Loamhedge'. I think it might be because I prefer stories that take place at sea. You know what could end up happening to the characters, but it's still interesting to read about it.

The Redwall books can be similar (when it comes to the types of things that happen) but each individual event in a book is often different in comparison with other books (different riddles, different things happening on quests, different enemies and wars etc.).

I read two, the first (Redwall (my favorite), and Marlfox). The books are very discriptive, I barely had to put any effort into my reading to picture and understand it. Very good.

i started reading some redwall stuff, but i just didnt like it. too...boring, is the word im after. but maybe i was reading the wrong book, can you reccommend any to me?

i remember them from my younger days, the ones about the boat id liken to pratchetts 'witches' books, kinda dull.
i loved the ones that were actually about redwall. i just remember one where they were exploring and found a secret tunnel with a statue, it totally captured my young imagination.
the writing really put you into the setting.

Ah, good ol' Redwall! I've only read the original one and that was about 7 or 8 years ago...boy does time fly! But I loved it to pieces. I bought another one ("Martin the Warrior") but I never got around to reading it. Makes me want to go back and pick 'em up again!

Redwall isn't really my favourite. I'm reading the new one, 'Rakkety Tam', at the moment. It's really good, but Mossflower is still my favourite.

I've practicly read all of them. I was able to get Brian Jaques to sign Triss when he came to where I live. I'll admit though I've kind of outgrown them.
