Any poets here?

I'm not much of a poetic type, but it always chears me up when I'm down.

I'm not really into poetry either, I'm an add-on author, who's career is sort of taking a nose dive at the time.

well, i couldn't write poetry to save my life, but it's nice to read.

I've just sort of lost touch with all of my add-on's, all two of 'em.

hmmm.... maybe you should just stick with the ones you joined and before starting a new add-on.

No ,no, no. You see, I haven't really told anybody this, but..............I've an add-on-aholic!!!! I can't stop new ideas jumping into my head every day!!! But now, for some reason, their gone. The ideas, they've just simply, disappeared. My head feels emty. Like a hollow coconut!!!!

Oooh, I'm a poet. I haven't had time to write anything lately, though. The school play's kind of taking up a lot of my time.

Josh, sweetie, don't worry about it. I'm sure they'll come back soon! I only get a chance to write on add-ons lately. I had to stop writing my book because of the play, too.

Then the school paper takes up a lot of time, too. Ah! So many things to write, and so little time! And there's still numerous projects. Bah.

I write a bit of poetry myself and look forward to posting on this forum and meeting other poets! there's nothing like praising god with your gifts/talents or just plain ol' making a joyfull noise

Since my 50th birthday poetry has come bubbling out of my head. I have had quite a lot published, which is good for the old ego! Also I am able to write poems for people's life events, happy or sad. I don't charge a fee for this, I am just pleased to be able to give something back to the community.

Beyond the Dream


Nearly four decades have passed
Since a visionary of integrity and honour
Had a dream that shook the planet.
Confronting Caucasian dominance and assumption of mastery,
His demand for the recognition of human equality
Released the spirit of emancipation.
A new Millennium calls for a heroic effort
To encourage Mankind to make a solemn affirmation
Of tolerance, peace and freedom for all.
The time has come to go BEYOND THE DREAM.

I cant say i am a poet, i am a writer, i have done my share of poetry but i love to write. Granted i am no Steinbeck or Hawthorn, or even a Hallmark worker,....but the things i write are for me and for those who happen to be written for.

i love to write. if you sit me down with a notebook and something to write with i'd be perfectly happy. i write all the time... doesn't mean i'm any good though.
