  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

any one see Hidalgo yet...?

It was extremely average. I fell asleep during it actually, but that was more b/c I only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before than b/c the movie was boring. There were some fair action scenes, but it was pretty average overall.

Viggo was good in the LOTR trilogy, but I haven't cared for him in much else.

I haven't seen Hidalgo yet, but was planning on it for some time - then I realised that the only reason it was such a big hype was because it was Viggo's first post-LOTR movie.

All reviews I've heard so far have been that it was poorly made, so I'm not sure if I want to taint his good image in my mind by seeing it.

It was good...the half I saw. I saw the last fourty minutes of it. It was a half hour into the movie when I arrived, then for about another thirty minutes my friend and I searched for a friend we planned on sneeking up on. LOL. It was a goo movie. On a scale from one to ten, I'd give it a seven. I went to see it because Viggo was in it, and he played a very good Aragorn in LOTR.

Well, there was a Frank T. Hopkins, the problem was that all the things he wrote about in his diary were false lies. It makes for a good story, but is in no way truth like Disney is promoting. See Here

the character development for the girl wasnt very good throughout the movie, and they kept using different horses for hidalgo. to say the movie was one of the most boring ive ever seen but at the same time i was kept entertained by the things i said i thought should happen in the movie.

I saw the movie last week and I loved it. It was a clean movie with no sex or showing of private body parts. It just shows you can make a good clean movie and people will still want to see it.

I loved the storyline and it's a true story which makes it better. It's nice to see a movie about the will to win and the desire to do and be your best. Be you man or horse ^_^

Don't the negatives cancel each other out, though? If he wrote false truths, then he would be wrong. But false lies should be true truths, right?

Sorry, just felt like being a smart aleck for a bit ;)
