Any Moonlight fans?

Yeah, it is a really interesting show. I'm sorta hooked. Plus the main character (Picture below) is pretty hot for a vampire... Anyone else watch it??

I never saw Angel, so I wouldn't know.

Love the show, but keep missing it. I haven't been able to get into the new lineup enough to know when/what is on. I think this program is not as "dark" as Angel was and the actors are fabulous.

I'm sorry, despite the fact that it features a vampire as private detective, the two shows have little in common. First, the vampire "lore" is completely different between the two shows. In Angel, all vampires were ruled by blood thirst and hedonism except for Angel and, later, Spike who magically had their souls reattached. In Moonlight, Vampires are much like they used to be with humans, simply that human blood is what the require to survive and most vampires see themselves as a higher species than human (more powerful, longer life, etc.).

Also, even the detective work is far different. Angel only tended to work on cases that dealt with the paranormal, demons, and alternate dimensions. While one case in Moonlight was about a young vampire who wasn't properly taught, they tend to be pretty normal cases and crimes, just that a vampire is solving them.

David Boreanaz is the only vampire for me

The show was originally supposed to be called Twilight, but there is a vampire book (by Stephanie Meyers--AWESOME, btw) with the same name that MTV owns the movie rights to.

No purpose really in that fact, but thought I would post some trivia.

BTW, I can't watch Bones either, because David Boreanaz will always be Angel to me.

I'm going to have to check out the show. Right now, my husband and I are catching up on Grey's Anatomy. We are just starting Season 3 on DVD. We have been dvr'ing everything else so we can be caught up. But I have to admit, I had wanted to check this show out.

Angel was more of a spin off of Buffy and that world...Actually, I remember another series called Forever Knight that I think it is more like. Forever Knight is a lot more closer. Forever Knight was a vampire police detective search for more humanity. Moonlight seems to have taken certain qualities from FK and add more romance drama. Also, it does seem to have certain powers demonstrated from the Kindred the Embraced series...

I've never seen "Forever Knight", but I've heard "Moonlight" compared to it multiple times, so you're probably right... I'm glad you're enjoying it... I personally can't wait for FRIDAY!

I didn't watch either of those shows... This is the first vampire show I've watched!
