Any ideas for roses / petals?

It's a long shot... but I'm wondering if anyone has heard of heirloom quality projects to preserve roses, other than drying them.

I found several recipes to make rose petal beads (for jewelry)... and will try that. I'd appreciate other ideas.

not sure what you have in mind exactly, but i did see a necklace that was strund with plastic (you could use glass or natural) pearls and intersperced with dried rose buds. it won best of show in the county fair!

I really like your idea! I made rose petal beads and think pairing them with glass beads would be stunning!

I also found tiny glass vials that can be filled with dryed petals and babies breath... and hung from a chain. I think I'll do both.

The research I've done in this has been a reward in itself. I found out rose petals can be eaten!

I understand rose petals can be made into candy. I think making jewelry from rose petals would be an wonderful idea.
