i second Americas Army. its a complete game, easily comperable to full priced retail games, thats absolutely free. it was made by the US Government to get people turned on to joining the military believe it or not. you can download it (youll need a fast connection), or you can ask them to send you a cd in the mail. its one of the most realistic FPS out there, and its not extremely demanding computer performance-wise either.

America's Army was the only online military shooter I actually liked. I haven't played in a long time but back then at least the players were really lenient. They did't get mad much like in Counter-Strike, unless you block a path or something. And yes it is extremely realistic. It actually felt like a war, not a big shootingfest.

I dunno, probably, but I doubt it costs more than $10. I've seen the CD in Best Buy in the past actually, and it was only $10. My friend had it burned and shipped from fileplanet.com (or some other downloading place that offers it) for less than that I think.

I really like battlefield 1942. There are so many expansions and mods. I like Road to Rome, Secret Wepons, Desert Combat, Eve of Destruction(Vietnam), Global Conflict(Star Wars). I am in a clan.

Mmm.. If you like more "rocket-jumping fast paced action" type of FPSes you could always install Q*** (Quake World Team Fortress). Old game though, mod of Quake 1.

I would reccomend Trogdor, on the website Homestarrunner.com. No fancy graphics, just fun, addicting, and challenging.
