Any Coldplay fans???

I just got their CD "A Rush of Blood to the Head" yesterday and wow it is amazing. I dont know what took me so long to get it, but... wow.

Any other fans out there? I think they have 1 other cd out too.. anyone heard it? Is it as good as the other one??

It's even better. Trust me. Get it. Now. Seriously, though, Parachutes is a wonderful album, definitely my favorite of theirs.

I got Parachutes when it came out and although I really liked it (the first half of it anyway) I have to say I got bored of it pretty quickly. There's no denying they've written some pretty good stuff though.

Yes, get Parachutes. There are also a few good extra tunes on the Live 2003 release, like Moses.

IMO, Parachutes is not as good as AROBTTH. The second album is to my tastes. It's more lively, more assertive, yet still very Coldplay-ish.

That said, Parachutes is great, and you should definitely buy it. I just don't think it's better.

Good singing, good music. One problem: they're dreary and grey and not exciting. Where's the energy? Radiohead is the same, IMO. Good music, but dreary. Not depresssing, though.

Coldplay are great. Both albums are definitely worth owning. AROBTTH shows how their sound has progressed. I have also heard earlier songs from EPs before they were signed to a major label. It's nice to see other Coldplay fans! Hopefully their next album will reveal greater depth to their sound

You are totally right.. and I love Radiohead too... but there is something about the drearyness of Coldplay that I love. Its not something I would listen to if Im super hyper... but they are really great when you are relaxed and just kinda chillin...

Anyways from what I have heared they are amazing musically, lyrically. vocally... they got it all

Chris Martin's certainly an interesting frontman. And AROBTTH is a great album with a diverse mix of tracks and The Scientist film clip is very well presented. I bought my brother their live DVD for Christmas last year but haven't watched it yet. My loss, really!

Haven't seen the DVD, but I did see them live last year. Great show - it was Chris' birthday.
