I miss my boxing. Was always my favourite workout. I would always just go and spar. I hated doing technique so always came to training late for the hard sparring at the end. :)

Skipping is a fantastic workout. :thumbsup:

I did the bag work, calisthenics but really just wanted to spar. Having an older brother meant we sparred a lot at home growing up. The other kids in the hood thought we were nuts and would come by to spar with us. It wasn't long before we had a rep so we had a steady stream of guys to box with. We did MMA back in 1993 on grass in the front yard before it was considered cool. Some days I would work on a staff, sai kata, others judo throws.

My favourite weapon is the tekko. (a pic of mine)

People would stop by to watch us practice. We even set up a guy like the Shaolin monks had with balancing posts, sand and gravel buckets to punch, makiwara, heavy bag of course, weights, etc.

After all that boxing is the quickest way to learn to defend yourself without all the extra religious ideas.

Your a running machine!

What pace do you typically run at?


If I feel like pushing 6 minutes or less; but usually if I am going further than 5 miles I try to maintain a 7 minutes per mile pace. Currently training with the goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon.
